June 26th 2016 Visit to Ben Potterdon's wildlife gardens and garden centre for a seminar on bird keeping.


July 10th 2016 Trip to Birdworld including coach. Leaving Norwich at around 7pm. Contact Steven Fisher for places and further details.


Tuesday 12 July Club meeting. A talk by Dennis Webster on the keeping of the Zebra Finch and the National Council of Aviculture and the way forward in Birdkeeping. Dennis is travelling up from Hertfordshire to give this seminar and all are welcome. Newcomers will be made very welcome. No cost it's a free evening for birdkeepers to enjoy. Tea and biscuits provided.


Saturday 20th August 2016 we will be travelling down to the Suffolk/ Essex borders for a BBQ at Graham Lee's. Please bring your cages if you wish to purchase birds. Please let Steven Fisher or Dave Woodhouse know if you are going so the right amount of food can be provided plus they will also look into transport if enough people are interested.

Pllease bring along your comfy chair as Graham only has limited.

 Norfolk Foreign Bird Association

 

Based in the City of Norwich, Norfolk in the United Kingdom. We have between 50 - 60 members. The club meets on the second Tuesday of each month at the Heartsease Methodist Church Hal, Heartsease Lane, Norwich.

The NFBA was formed in January 1974 and the club held their first meeting in February that year. The club was formed by like minded aviculturist, bird breeders, pet keepers and bird lovers from Norfolk.

The NFBA holds Norfolk's Premier Foreign Bird show which will next take place on Sunday 1st October 2017 and will be the memorial Show for Chris Allaway our President who passed away suddenly in October 2016. This will be our 40th  Annual open Show and takes place at Spixworth village hall.

We are always looking for new members and anyone interested in bird keeping will be made very welcome by the Officials and the club members. 

Our club is affillated to The Foreign Bird League.
